i am looking into a new baitcaster, i currently have a daiwa ct100hs, and 1 lews LFS and a Lews LFS tournament pro. any comments on the shimano slx xt

Go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It is a great reel don’t get me wrong but other than the fact it looks better I think just save some money and buy the normal slx or spend a little bit more and buy the curado K. It is a great reel though and I am sure you’d be happy with it.

This x2. The standard SLX is a good reel and I personally like the old style brakes, but if you want more get a Curado.

Own the SLX MGL and Curado K. Both solid reels. The XT has the 150 size spool, the MGL has the 70 size light weight spool. MGL for lighter baits, K for heavier baits.
