Powell rods: Endurance 734 vs Max 734

Endurance 734 vs Max 734

Looking to purchase a 734 rod from Powell.  Does anybody have either rod or both?  How do they compare and which is the better rod in your opinion.

Also, the rod is labeled as Heavy on the website - are they more medium heavy or heavy?

I plan to use as a general utility rod - mostly t-rigging.

Thanks!

Mike

Personally for Texas  Rigs I would go with Endurance 733C Med-Hvy Ex Fast.

Well, it used to be the Endurance was the upper rod, now it's the max.  I have the old ones.  I have 2 old endurance 723.  Excellent for t RIGS. Lighter jogs, spinners and chatters.  It's not a true medium heavy more like a mag medium.  But again I'm talking about the older ones

Really anything... I've thrown JERKBAITS and topwaters and ever small cranks.  I honestly think that it does ok with cranks but u r better off using a cranking rod.  I have used mine for a little bit of everything.  I really like throwing soft plastic swimbaits, flukes, senkos, weightless brush hogs, buzzbaits on them.   They are my utility rods... they just flat do everything well.  But it excels as a bottom contact rod and does really well with the moving baits like swim jigs, spinnerbaits, paddle tails.

Pretty much everything @Teal listed ?

I prefer using it as an all around plastics rod, either weighted or unweighted.

Jigs in 1/4-1/2 oz.

I also have the powell 714, it's one of my jig rods, I like it for 3/8 to 3/4 jigs and heavier buzzbaits, frogs, and even ploppers
