Uses for a Curado DC 6.2:1

Featured Replies

How are you guys using your 6.2:1. Mine isn't ideal for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits or swim jigs, which I initially thought it would be perfect for. I have it paired with a Dobyns 734 Fury.

What would you use this reel for?

I don't have a Curado - but 6.2:1 screams crankbaits to me.

Yep, in a perfect it would be a crankbait reel, but I'm using the SLX as my crankbait rod.

Second choice - bottom contact...T-Rigs, C-Rigs, bottom jigs.

It feels like the lure is controlling the reel not the reel controlling the lure. I'm thinking maybe a Curado K or Tatula 150. I need more beefiness.
