I'm not always modifying stuff but that's my most recent. Tweeking a favorite bait a little. And I have some of my Zoom U-Tail worms in coffee grounds trying to enhance them some. I tried fishing some late in the season but results were not good or basically meaningless. I'll revisit that this spring. I'm generally not messing with things. Two small experiments.

I have tried the coffee grounds before but not much luck on my end.

My thoughts are just packed in some grounds will do little. Not like some oil based formula. Not like it's cooked in either. I'm just gonna leave them zipped up till spring/summer and give them another try. That faded Bluegill is gonna work. I can feel it. No doubt about it.

I ended up buying the strike king spray coffee haha.  Good luck on the bluegill maybe I need to tone down lures I paint.  I just like to flake them out for my own personal liking.

I did see where 6th Sense has a great selection of bluegill and sunfish on their various lure models. I do fish a few 6th Sense lures and they are good quality but I didn’t want to get all carried away with finding the perfect bluegill.

I bought back some years ago some of the Rapala live image baits. I’m a big Rappy fan and I thought they would set the world on fire. Those live image/real image baits are for crap. I don’t even waste my time with them. I just deal with the old school original patterns. Old school bluegill is hard to beat.

I agree just the standard old school stuff for me.  I got into painting my own for fun but alot I just hang up lots of flake haha.  Then a few wanted to buy so I did that but I had hard time selling them just wanted to keep for myself.

Love the DT series, have fished them for years and have never had one break, maybe I've been lucky that said the DT 6 & DT 10 are my 2 favorites in that line-up.

DT6 & DT10 is all I use also. No bills have busted. I’m not slapping them around but I’m using them like the tool they are made for around rocks. Not babying them. Bills are fine. I have punctured the finish on some by casting onto bank rock but I fill the holes in with clear coat nail polish or gorilla glue. They are a good bait.
