Curado 76H uses

Featured Replies

Picked up one a few weeks back when they ran that crazy priced sale on TW. It's -8 wind chill today in the Northeast but my cabin fever has me thinking the best uses for this rod. I have a Tatula 150 with lime SLP knobs on it (yes I know Shimano with a Daiwa). If you have this rod, what techniques are you using it for and does the rod stand out for the price? Thanks and best wishes on the water!

I'd go with frogs (not the super big ones though), but at 7'6" that depends on how you feel about it. The other thing it could do fish heavier jigs in deeper water.

I crrently use a 7'5 H Zodias to drag Carolina rigs around in deep water. I suck at doing so, but the rod works well for it. Once Froggin season gets here I will tie one on and use it for that.

I didn't pull the trigger quick enough on that rod.  I would've used it for flipping and/or belly weighted paddle tail swimbaits.

What about 5-6" Magdrafts?

I think it would be fine depending on the treble hook you use for them.  I've never personally used a magdraft (or any line thru hook swimbait for that matter), but if and when I do, I would slap a beefy treble on there.  I wouldn't worry too much about a heavy rod ripping out a 2x size 2 triple grip or something like that.
