I received a little terminal tackle package for my birthday. They are sold on Amazon. It came with a few things I'm not quite sure how to use. Can anyone tell me what in supposed to do with this stuff? Last photo is a pic of the box. 

 

 

 

   The top pic (the red arrow-like thingee) is called a "flipper". It's supposed to go on the rear split ring of spoons to act as a "focus".

   The second one from the top is a hook retainer. The various sizes of o-rings hold it on to your rod. Look at the way the Fuji hook retainer is installed and it will give you the general idea.

   Third one from the top is a screwlock for plastic baits. You thread it onto your choice of hook and then screw the bait onto the retainer.

   The fourth one is a set of leaders, with a crane swivel on one end and a duolock snap on the other. What use the willowleaf blade has, I have no idea.

For the flipper, do I attach it directly to the same split ring the hook is attached to? Or should I use a additional split ring?

 

The hook retainer seems kind of pointless, I always just hooked my lures to the big eye on the rod.

 

For the screw locks, should I use a split ring or attach it directly to the eye of the hook? Any hook will do? I suppose it would be pointless on a offset ewg hook?

 

The last one, the leaders and willow blade were in the same compartment so I figured they were to be used together somehow. 

I don’t like placing my hook into a guide insert or on the hood of reel. If I have to I would use guide foot instead. I use that hook keeper on a lot of my rods that don’t come with one.

Screw Lock you will have to use special bend hook (60 degree bend). Or you can use it for “nail weight” for Neko hook (add split shot)  or just plain plastic keeper before rigging Texas rig style.

I see, thanks. Cool idea for neko rig. I have a fly tying vice now. So might try this too

   Whichever you desire. People do both.           jj

I think the willow leaf is for swimming a senko. So it would go willow leaf to split ring to swivel to keeper and then you screw the keeper into the end of a senko.
