Just about any reel is saltwater capable if you treat it right.

I fish Lew's, and found my Super Duty G, Tournament Pro and Team Pro SP are all better saltwater reels than my Custom Inshore, simply because they're better reels.  I fished a Tica Cetus XUL in that salt niche for a dozen years.

The only reels that are capable of being dunked in saltwater (or targeted for the surf) are fully sealed.  Any good modern reel with corrosion-resistant finish and bearings will handle the salt just fine with conscientious rinsing and maintenance.  You may have to replace bearings more often with salt use, simply because you don't want rust salts to spread in your reel.  But I go as long as four years before swapping in new bearings.  Cleaning and lube is everything.

btw, I'm a licensed PE and corrosion engineer.

hi friend, you probably can't go wrong with Ardent products.

Adding another thought here that I left out above.  Compared to bass fishing, inshore we will more often use lighter lines and lighter drag sets.  We're not trying to haul plugs up through submerged trees in reservoirs.  Casting lighter lures (1/4-oz) to good distance is the usual goal of our tackle choice.
