KastKing Speed Demon Pro Tournament Series Rods ?

I've seen a couple of favorable reviews for the KastKing Speed Demon Pro Technique Specific Rods (chatter Bait) ... Anyone have experience with this or similar rods in the Speed Demon Pro Rod line up ?

In 2 years I have owned 3 speed demon pro rods.

I now have none.

I had a

1: chatterbait rod it was ok, but the tip snapped swinging a 2 pounder into the boat.

2. jerkbait rod. It broke when I slapped the boat, working a jerkbait.

3: jig/worm  casting rod. It snapped setting the hook.

Edit: I had a fourth rod. It was the spinning jig/worm rod. I did not like the action, so I donated it to bass pro on their spring trade in program.

They are, in my opinion, fragile and not very responsive.

For roughly the same price a st Croix mojo bass. Or Okuma evx rod is a much better choice.

Same experience.

As far as the reviews, I tried to warranty a rod though kk and was denied. After leaving an honest review they contacted me and offered a new rod if I changed my review.

109.00, LOL.

Dobyns fury for 10.00 more, no brainer.

I had a few, a shakyhead rod, jig rod, and jerkbait rod. Neither of mine broke on me but I've sold all of them. The shakyhead rod was nice, but I have a LTB that I use for shakyheads also and I don't use shakyheads often enough to justify having 2 rods for them. The jig rod was laughable to even call a jig rod. The tip flexed under the weight of a weightless Senko. No way I would have felt comfortable setting the hook with a jig on it. I never could find a good use for it. The jerkbait was my favorite rod but I got a great deal on an Okuma TCS that I liked even better so I switched to it and gave the KK to a friend.

Thanks for the replies - I'll instead be researching the other brands listed above .

Technique specific rods can be a good idea - but the manufacturer / brand has to provide a reliable , quality product .
