I just picked up a few high-end combos for 2021. First up is the Daiwa Steez Bottom Contact paired with a 2020 Metanium. This setup feels balanced especially for a 7'5" rod. This will be my 1/2 oz jig rod.

 

 Second up is the Megabass Detroyer P5 Madbull paired with a Steez A TW. I'll be using this for medium cranks, top water, bladebaits, spinnerbaits and small swimbaits. I've had this on the water several time and it is amazing. I have never spent this amount of money on 2 combos, but life's short so why not. I can't wait to put these new additions to work this spring. 

 

I also have the bottom contact rod. Compared to my previous jig rods it seems a bit tip heavy and wants to fall forward at rest. I do find it to be oh so sensitive though!

When are you gonna put a Daiwa on that bottom contact?

I know, right?

I have a bottom contact paired with a Steez SV TW and love it.  I wouldn’t be afraid to go to it’s rated 1 oz...it handles it just fine.
