Anyone have the new falcon Cara eye crosser

Featured Replies

This rod grabbed my attention because of its length. I was looking at the expride 7’2” heavy. Also the Cara Amistad at 7’3”. I wanted the 1/1/2 ounce lure rating.  I’m looking to throw mostly 3/8 and 1/2 ounce jigs with it. My concern is most of the places I fish are a little tight for those lengths. I would ideally like to stay in the 6’10” ish range. I’m also getting into fishing from a kayak this year and I feel like I would like to stay under 7’, but not totally sure. I’m doing my best to set a budget around $250 ish.
the write up on falcons site says same action as Amistad just shorter, although for a different purpose.
I haven’t actually weighed the jigs but I would guess they are in the 3/4 7/8’s total weight range.
Cover isn’t to bad some of that coarse spongey stuff at the bottom and some grass here and there. My other rod that goes up to 1 ounce feels a little under powered with the “fuller” jigs off that size.
I also have some 1 ounce top hook baits I would like to use on it. Along with 5 inch paddle tails on under spins. Things of that nature if possible.
Any insight or experience with this rod or situation would be greatly Appreciated. Been thinking about this all winter and now the seasons here. This rod is in stock at a few places right now.

i might be asking allot but the rod I’m looking for might be out there.
Thanks For reading all this with my terrible grammar.
