Daiwa tatula or dobyns Sierra spinning rod?

Featured Replies

So I'm looking for a new multi purpose m/f spinning rod. I know both these are similar price points. I have a dobyns fury ml/f spinning rod which I like. That being said between these 2 which would you choose? I heard good things about both jusy a tough choice.

I would go with the Tatula

If you're particular about where the hook keeper is located, that's a tangible difference between them.

Both good rods, but the Tatula is so much more comfortable to fish with.  The 7'1 ML F can do just about anything.

Are you going to use braid? If so, I'd go with the guides on the Sierra. But like you said, they're both good rods.           jj

I have a good number of Dobyns rods and they make good rods.  I bought a Tatula Spinning rod at a 50% sale so it was a no brainer purchase. I would still buy another Tatula rod, they are very good rods. The casting & spinning Tatula rods are legit rods.

Thanks guys looks like the tatula is the winner. Do they fish in the higher end of the weight ranges? Or right in the middle or low end?
