Planning on buying a new unit really want the 8 but dont know if I want to spend the extra cash for the SI when I can get a 997c for around the same cost as the 8. What are your guys opinion

    SI is a fun toy but enless you tourney fish every weekend IMO its not worth the cost.

    Is it for the bow or the console? If it's the console spring for a 997SI. I have 997s front and rear but rarely use SI on the trolling motor. I keep SI up on the console all the time and have found fish and cover you would never find with a 2D unit.
