Deck Lighting

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

Here's a couple pics of my deck & compartment lighting.  It's great for night fishing but also for tournament mornings.

Sexy. They look like my Cold Cathode lights in my pc ;)

Very nice.

What make and where did you get the lights?

How did you set up the switches (one master, or separate)

nice, looks very good.  Well done.

I only used 2 switches. The green deck lights work off the first pole of a 3 position switch and the compartment lights work off the 2nd pole. The switch is a rocker swtich that matches the factory switches and is mounted at the dash panel. The second switch is a waterproof push button that is mounted in the battery compartment and controls just that light.

Very, very nice.

Wow that's a sweet set-up.A must for nights or early mornings.

did you install green for low light or bugs??seem like should help out and not attract so many bugs . also how much battery life does these light consume?? always thought about the rope lights for my tri haul.

Don't those lights on the lids blind you?  Mine were out in the open and they drove me crazy so I shielded some and moved others.

Actually, no.  The angle that my lids open to directs the light out and down.

I chose green... Well.... because my boat is green.... LOL.  All of the LED colors will not attract bugs/insects like conventional lighting.  I would not recommend using rope lights.  These units are waterproof and specifically designed to be placed in a boating enviornment.
