Yesterday I was in a sour mood. I tried to fish, but my vehicle neglect bit me in the butt. It didn’t make it. My truck had to limp home.  Then to the shop where I begged the guy to please fix it fast because, ‘I really want to fish Clearlake.”.

I made it up there today. Pulled out into the main lake and it was like a town meeting.  Biggest bass tourney of the year!  I missed the memo. Lots of bass boats shoulder to shoulder. I navigated around the armada and found a big open spot.  One fisherman says,” I’m not sure that guy knows what he is doing, looks like he is just drifting around”

haha. I don’t know what I’m doing!  So true!  But I had open space.  I started casting.  Splash!  I lose a giant. It rubbed my leader hard against my kayak and snapped me off.  I was bummed, but kept fishing. It was like someone flipped a switch.  I had 5 for five back to back. Nothing big, but five cast and five hits!  It tapers off and I settle in.  I lost count. I boated a 4.5 and lots of 3’s.  Only 3 dinks really.  I was so excited I didn’t take many pics, and my iPhone was aiming really high. Haha.   Once I started hooking up, I was like I the hottest girl at the dance. The boats crept in. One guy was very cool and asked if he could pull up,closer.  Yes!  I’m cool with it.

I fished a short day because the wind really came up. My kayak and wind dont get along.

I had a wonderful fishing day.  Wonderful.   Good mood Wednesday!
