Need advice on best takedown/travel Rod

Featured Replies

I am an avid backpacker and frequently use a two piece casting rod for backcountry/ travel Bass fishing, but it's not compact enough and I snagged and broke it while hiking in on the last trip.  I am now looking at the Megabass Triza 3 piece in MH vs. the Shimano Scorpion 5 piece in MH which are both much more compact and higher end.

Anybody have any experience/ feedback with either or both...?  Pro's vs. Cons of either.  Any insight or recommendations of any other models besides these two would be greatly appreciated

I have several 3-pc BC and spinning rods in Daiwa's Ardito series.  A little unbalanced IMHO but reasonably sensitive and strong.  Maybe not as nice as the rods you are considering, but work for me.
