Is there a kill switch?

  • Author

I installed new lithium batteries, put the motor down in the run position, put the kill switch in by the seat.  The remote, motor not found.  There is a relay in the bow section that has the power in & power out.  I have power in, but no power going out to the motor.  I replaced the relay and the 2 kill switches nothing changed.

There are 2, 1 near the seat & 1 at the motor.  They were both replaced

Where did you buy it?  Did you ask them?  How about Old Town customer service?

I ended up re-crimping a connector going to the motor and that took care of my problem.  Old Town is responsive when you can get hold of someone there.  They're closed weekends, ridiculous,  at least have someone to respond to questions.  Use customer service, don't try calling an individual it can get frustrating with their phone system.  The diagram I included has 2 LEDs, you will not see them, they're on the circuit board and they indicate when the switches are closed and both have to be closed for the motor to work.  It would be better if they were more visible, instead of having to dig them out.  Good Luck
