Can I use ewg worm hooks for a wacky rig?

Featured Replies

I know it’s not ideal but will it work?

It will absolutely work. It won't be ideal, but I've personally used them multiple times if I'm in a pinch and they happen to be all I've got.

Last and first time I threw a wacky rig it was on a ewg worm hook and it kept spinning is there a reason for this?

What do you mean by spinning? Could be excessive line twist.

Flipping over

If it happens again I’ll take a video

Also do you rig it side ways or straight threw

Please do take a video as I'm not sure I understand quite what is happening. As I mentioned earlier, my first guess would be line twist. As for rigging, I prefer to use a wacky saddle or an O-Ring system.

I am betting it was flipping over because there was just enough weight from the hook to flip it!  Could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time!?
