I'm looking at buying a new or used boat, and not sure what dealer in Florida to go to. I was dealing with a boat company in North Carolina, but I really hate going out of state. Nybody have some advice as who to go to that won't take me for a ride, advantage of if you will. I was approved in June of this year for a Stratos 294 evolution for $29,899 but got cold feet because of them being out of state. I currently have a 97 Stratos with a 97 Johnson 175 fast strike on it. I still owe on it, but want to trade it in. Anybody have some advice on what dealer to, and if they are trustworthy. Also how hard is it to get a boat loan right now?

If you still owe then you are probably upside down in the boat which means you may owe more than it is worth.  You will have a hard time gettin a low interest loan.

Get your unit paid off then trade.

They gave me what I owed on my boat, so it washed. I would have to put 10% down they said back in June, but the interest rate was a little high, so I got cold feet and didn't do it. I'm a little worried that if I wait intil sometime next year, it will be even harder to get a loan.
