It turned into a long day

Yesterday's trip started off alright.  I started off along a deep drop off, didn't get any bites so I moved down shallow where the vegetation is starting to pop up in places.  Fishing two different spots, I managed to pick off nine little largemouth after the wind started blowing a little.

That's when all the fun started.  I'm fishing in about 4 feet of water and while pulling up the anchor it hangs up. I see I have braid wrapped around the anchor line.  I pulled the anchor up as far as I could, reached down into the water and cut the braid. I never saw what was on the end of it.

When I got finished with my anchor line, I turn on the TM because I'm drifting in close to the bank.  The boat isn't responding and the prop is turning very slowly.  My first thought was that the battery is dead, but the tester I carry shows it is only down about 40%.  The wind was with me and I paddled back into the ramp.

Getting out of the boat, I stepped down and turned over my ankle.  After about 5 minutes of cussing, I was able to walk around on it and load up for the trip home.

Sorry to hear about your troubles friend. Glad you were able to catch fish at least.

Good thing those bad days, aren’t everyday!

What did you find out about your TM?

Bad battery, and possibly bad charger.  Not sure if one caused the other or not.
