I had a 2/0 Gama EWG snap in two after a hookup last week. Thought it might be a faulty hook but then another member of our fishing club had the same thing happen to him. Curious if others have experienced this?

    I don't use EWG hooks very much, but I've had very good luck with standard GAMA hooks.

    Gama's EWG are pretty good hooks which I have used for many years.  They come in different wire thickness.  I have had a few break in half, all thin wire version, and while hooking into a big nasty mudfish.

    It's my goto EWG.  I've never snapped one that wasn't caused by me doing something stupid.
