I've got a chance to pick up one of these with a 225 Ficht on it for 17k. Is it a good deal? Boat is extremely clean and well taken care of.

Looks a little high based on the NADA Guide. However, boat values vary greatly by location and you have to take the condition into account. The 520 is a great boat ........

What year is the motor there were problems with the Ficht motors for a while. I had two that were 99 and a 01 that gave me lots of trouble. I have had a 04 and an 07 since with no problems whatsoever. I usually keep my boats about 3 years so usually any problems come up by then, that would be my only concern with this boat.

The first 3 or 4 years they made the FICHT Motors they were awful.

The big motors ..... 200 hp and up should be fine after 1999 ..... most of the troubles were 150's
