Selling rods

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a few new rods to add to my collection. I now have rods that I do not use anymore. What is the best way to sell those? Like what app/website? if any of you want to buy them I have a Dobyns sierra 692 spinning (1 year old), Lews TP 1 speed stick 6'10 med hvy (2 years old), lews David Fritts 7' med moderate (1 year old but only used twice), Ugly stick elite 6'6 med hvy (3 years old haven't used in a while).

DM or comment to let me know, thank you!

There is a flea market section on here. If you dont feel comfortable shipping rods there is always facebook marketplace and craigslist for local transactions.

Shipping rods pretty much makes it so it's a waste to sell rods unless they're high end. The USPS loves breaking rods too, so make sure they're packed good if you do ship them.

I either sell them local or keep them. Not many rods that I've sold that I didn't end up looking for and wishing I'd kept later on.

I won't ship rods so when I do sell (I usually just keep them) I'll either sell on FB marketplace, Craigslist or put them on consignment at my local tackle shop for store credit, haha.

I sell them local too.  A pain to ship.

I’ve shipped a few and it wasn’t too bad.  Cost about $16 with insurance. Printing your own label makes it easier. The only real issue I’ve run into is some of the workers have idea how to enter a rod tube in their computer or will tell you they won’t ship it.
