Bought a Shimano Curado 200 DPV for $5

Featured Replies

First post. Went on a annual "Sale on The Trail" ride last Saturday and found one spot with lots of used tackle. Picked up a smooth functioning Curado 200 and a H2O Express for $5 each. Curado is 5.1 retrieve. Should make a good crank bait reel. I'm sure its older and out of production but I'm hoping some of you went through them and might have some advice on problems to look for. I fish mostly on Toledo Bend, Sibley Lake and Cane River Lake in Northwest Louisiana. Thanks.

A youngster like yourself shouldn't be saddled with such an old and "tough" reel.   Those Curdao DPV's were notorious for being "touchy". .     further experiments with reel could  challenge your further development as a fisherman, for the foreseeable future.

Allow me to take this reel off your hands   . . . .I'll give you $8.50 for that reel.  - I'm a nice guy - I'll give you$20 for the pair AND pay for shipping through pay pal. -  message me. .

Sounds like you live close to or in Natchitoches.  I have fond memories of my years there as a student.
