  1. I have a gift card to TW and an orphaned Curado MGL. The idea would be versatile and a good one rod when walking the bank set up. Do any of you have any experience with both rods? What was your impression of either or both? The price difference on TW is negligible. Which would you buy and why? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  2. The 883 BJR is my next add as well. If it doesn’t work for you for some reason, hit me up. I would also love to hear your in the water impressions of the rod.
  3. Ugh… you’re supposed to be taking me out of wanting one, it the other way around! Thanks for sharing your perspective. Very helpful!
  4. Have you fished the 844c in the NRX+ line? If so, how does it compare? I have the 844c and am wondering if they are too similar to justify both.
  5. This rod has caught my attention, but I cannot find much info on the web about it other than the tech specs. Can anyone here give any real world perspective? I assume it does well with bladed jigs, since that is wha *** was built for. What else does it do well? What were you surprised that it did do well? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
  6. Thanks for the heads up. Which Expride B fills that versatile slot?
  7. I am possibly in the market for a multi-purpose rod and was looking at the Expride B 7’2” MHF. The Orochi XX line looks to be on its way out, I assume in favor of the Orochi X10. The Tour Versatile and Perfect Pitch seem to be the multi-purpose rods in this line. Can any of you speak from experience how the Exprides match up against the Orochi in these models? Is there one you’d buy over the other, and why would you choose the one you would? Thanks y’all… and Merry Christmas!
  8. I have their Resolve Bass in their 7’1” M+, which I really like. I found it cheap on the used market. I am wondering if their Centra is that much better or just more because it’s a Made in the USA rod.
  9. I hadn’t considered possible resale. That would be good to consider, thanks.
  10. Does anyone have any first hand, real world experience with this line of rods? taco has been a great performer for the price rod to me. I have had and enjoyed other TFO bass rods but at $349 MSRP these are moving into the territory of rods like the Expride. Can anyone comment on them? I have an orphaned Curado MGL that needs a rod. Thanks in advance for any insight y’all can give.
  11. TB was referencing that the two reels that sit at the top of their line - the Stella and Excense - determine how their line up works. To TB the Stella, and the reels that take tech from this line, are their “power” reels. The ones that are in the Excense line of tech are their finesse reels. Power or finesse, is probably subjective but I will say the reels I have fished of the two lines do I fact feels different.
  12. That’s how I feel every time I buy a crank-bait. Just a matter of time!
  13. What’s the name of the LTB model?
  14. My FMJ doesn’t get the use it deserves.
  15. Same here. The Smith photochromic lens are great for me. I wonder if it is the difference of a lens made for fishing that is photochromic vs. a casual sunglass.
