Nose-hooked Fluke setup

Featured Replies

The setup (based off of the nose-hooked fluke rig from TacticalBassin):

Shimano SLX DC 150HG

MMF casting rod

12 pound Yo-Zuri Hybrid

1/0 Gamakatsu Finesse WG Weedless

Zoom Super Fluke

Screw lock keeper

1/16th oz VMC Neko Weight

I'm thinking this is a good skipping option for the fluke, any other suggestions?

It works well. I also put a small piece of heat shrink tubing over the eye of the screw lock and shrink it down to help hold it on the hook. I have zero patience for fishing a fluke, but if I do, this is how I usually fish them.

I fish a similar bait but unweighted and I tend to fish it on spinning.
