Trail Cam Fees?

Featured Replies

I have a few deer come through my yard at different hours of the day. I wanted to get a trail cam to capture some pics and have them sent to my phone but as I looked into this, I'm discovering there are monthly fees to do this??

For real?  You have to pay someone to have the pics sent from one item to another these days?

Any trail cams that don't have fees out there?

To access many trail cam systems remotely there needs to be a cloud base system involved and that means data, and power supply, so yes.

My trail cams have memory cards and I check them every few days, so no cloud based storage is required.

Does it need to be a trail cam? I have Arlo wireless cameras on the exterior of my house. They work on both AC and battery power. The can be set up for motion and/or sound activation. The modem connects to the homes wifi. Depending on how you set up the alerts, you can get texts and/or emails when movement or sound is is noticed. Generally, the text alerts occur within 30 seconds of the camera getting triggered. Then I can just log into the app and see what triggered the camera. I have the free version. They have a pay version which supposedly won't get triggered by insects and leaves blowing around as well as offering more storage.

It does not need to be an actual trail cam so this is a great idea!

Thank you; I'll look into both of those brands
