Sonars

I was looking at the Fish Elite 642c and the Humminbird 768 at cabela's the guy there was telling me some info on both. Reason I was looking at these two is one they were both on sale the Fish elite was $349 and the Humminbird was $299, and two I fish mainly rivers that are any were from 1-20 ft deep usually on the lower end and I hear they are not that useful in low water. My main purposes would be deepth, speed, water temp, GPS which both have, and in the deeper water fish finding. Anyone use either of these 2 are they good or any suggestions about other ones. I don't want to spend alot of money because like I said I fishing mostly in low rivers. The Elite was in color also.

The Humminbird has better specs than the Eagle with more power, dual beam sonar and an easier to use operating system.  The Eagle is in color though with is very nice.  It's really a toss up, but I would probably take the color unit though.

I have an Eagle 320c, and really like the color readout. I would go for the 642c.
