Has anyone tried this smaller profile Megabass jerkbait? It seems like a killer bait for the SM. 

Pretty sure they just hit the market this week. 

 

Looks like a tasty little morsel sized treat for my local pike to inhale. 

Well there was money I didn't need to spend but I'll let you know in a week or so how they look in person.

You need a killer JB for Smallmouth?  Try a Megabass Oneten MAX LBO.  Don't waste your time with that dinky little bait...

Yeah, cause dinky little jerkbaits only catch dinky little smallmouth, like this one I caught on a Rozante 77. When they're eating those emerald shiners or other small, thin profile baitfish, a bigger jerkbait just doesn't do it for them a lot of the time. 

 

Between a Rozante 77 and Pointer 78.

Thanks for the comparison pics.  Interested to read what you think about them after a few hours of fishing.

Threw one of these for the first time today. Cast well on a spinning rod with light braid, not quite like a Rozante but plenty adequate. Nice little darting action and some roll. Water was pretty clear and almost 80 degrees, really just wanting to see the action. Still, I caught about 10 in 30 minutes just pedaling across the dam of the small lake I was fishing and missed a couple more. They were all small, but it was still fooling fish in poor conditions for the bait at a very quick pace without me even really trying very hard so that's pretty encouraging.
