My hand controlled Motor Guide Great white is now only running wide open. Any ideas on the problem. A simple fix like a switch or relay or something thats gonna get deeper in my pocket?

If you take the head cap off there should be 2 relays but i doubt that is the problem but the switck that controlls the speeds might be bad, it is kinda hard to explain

Speed coil???? When they get fried, they go into high bypass. The part is about $60 from MG, add another $100 to it for labor at the repair shop.............if that's your problem.

Had basically the same thing happen to my Minn Kota hand controlled, except I new the speed control switch was bad because it started to melt. Was really easy to replace, only took me about 15 minutes.
