Which Rod between these two

Featured Replies

I was looking at the Big Bear 7'3"HF 1/2-2oz and the Phenix Feather 7'1"HF  1/4-2oz.  Close to the same price. It will double as a heavy bass rod and striper fishing with cut bait.

Which would you choose?

I've heard of Big Bear rods, but I've literally never seen or heard them being mentioned, ever. Could be great rods, but I personally wouldn't take a $200 chance on it.

Phenix  has a long-standing reputation of quality. I'm sure Big Bear is good too, but I've never heard of them until now. I'd go with Phenix.

The Big Bear L.E. and Kodiak look cool, then again the Phenix looks pretty nice. Flip a coin.

I seen a lot of good reviews for the Phenix Feather. I might give that one a try.

I looked at one of the Phenix Feather but I didn't like the length of the foam behind the trigger/grip, it was too short for me. Just my personal experience, but the rod was nice otherwise.

Pheonix rods are super light, I mean super light, expensive but light, don't have much experience with big bear rods, although to be completely honest, black friday is like, a month away so if you wait you may be able to find something similar to what you want for a better price.

Yes, good idea, I didn't even think about that. Thanks
