7’6 medium heavy moderate fast action can cast better than medium heavy fast action ?

For the heavy vs. medium-heavy power part, it depends on what your casting and how much it weighs.  Most often, taper affects how the rod feels during retrieve and setting the hook.  There isn't really such a thing as one casting better than the other.  Each are suited to certain things.  What are you trying to cast and in what type of cover?

Sometimes.  A moderate-fast action will bend deeper into the rod, so you'll get more whip out of it during the cast.  This CAN lead to longer casts.  

 

BUT, all of that depends on lots of other things, like how heavy the lure is and how fast you accelerate the rod during cast.  

 

On the opposite end, a moderate-fast action rod can also take away distance on a cast, versus a fast action.  It's possible to overload the rod, either by using too heavy of a lure, or too fast of a cast, and cause the rod to not be able to snap back in time.  In which case, it'll have more of a noodly action than a whipping action on the cast.  And in that scenario, a fast action rod will cast further because less of it will bend, so it won't need as much time to recover.  

 

It's all a balancing act.  

 

 

   If one car maker has their speedometers printed to 120 mph and another car maker has their speedometers printed to 140 mph, is one car faster than the other? Not necessarily.

 

   That's the problem with "fast" and "moderate fast"..... or even "moderate". There's no industry standard, and most descriptions are just for advertising purposes within a brand.

 

   You need to actually try them out to get a definitive answer.           jj

I think it's more useful than just advertising.  If I already have a fast action rod, I have a pretty decent idea of what an extra fast in the same line up will be like without even trying it. This is where there's value with sticking with a brand or even a line within that brand you like.  I mean, it's better than than ratings like rugged, elegant, smooth, stiff, etc.  At least using relative speed gets you in the ball park.  But yes, I agree - one company's fast may be another's mod-fast.
