Tatula thumb bar issue

Featured Replies

My Tatula 150’s thumb bar is a bit sensitive. It barely takes touching the handle during the cast to engage the thumb bar. Occasionally this means my hand will bump into the handle and engage the the reel. Is there a something I can tighten to make it less sensitive? Thanks ?

If you search the web, you'll find several comments on this for Daiwa reels. I saw some comments last year about one-or-another Lexa engaging mid-cast. I used to have a Fuego CT100 that did it really bad.

Hard to tell whether it's a rare, freaky-reel-thing or not. One thing I do know for sure; there are a lot of happy Daiwa reel owners out there! That's gotta count for something.   ?                      jj

Thank you! I mean it isn’t super horrible or anything, just happens occasionally. Just gotta be more aware of hand placement when casting. It’s a really great reel and I’m more than happy with it

Did you buy your 150 new, if so, is it still under warranty.? Maybe consider sending it back for a replacement.

I have more than a few Tatula reels, ranging from the 100 to the 300, and none them have any issues what so ever.

I got it at academy a while back and it’s past their return policy deadline. I’ll just keep it. Thank you though ?
