DUCKETT ROD REEL SEATS STRIPPING

Featured Replies

I am having issues with the Duckett ghost rods. All the reel Seat nuts are slipping I bought 4 Duckett ghost rods and 3 out of the 4 are stripped the last one is probably next all the rods have been babied and taken good care of I really like the rods but Iam starting to think they are trash I don’t want to glue them. Customer service doesn’t want to do much about it is there anyone else having this issue with these rods or any ideas to fix them. Thank you

You can put a new nut on but you might have to remove some of the guides.

Yes I have contacted them directly they will not do anything about it.

Try wrapping plumbers tape around the threads.
