Humminbird question....

Featured Replies

Ok, I know this has been asked before.  I tried a search and couldn't find the older threads, so I need a little help.  I have condensation on the inside of my Humminbird screen.  Is there anyway to get it dried out or to prevent it?  Sorry for the repeat but thanks for the help.

one would think the unit would be sealed against that sort of thing.  Call HB Customer service.

The black and white LCD units have an air gap between the glass and the display.  The inside of the glass fogs up on cold mornings.  There isn't anything that can be done to prevent it.  I used to keep my depthfinder in the house at night and that helped.  The color units do not have the air gap and will not have the problem.

One of mine does this and it has not caused any harm to it yet.  Clears up fast once the unit is powered.
