Tru-Tungsten Ikey Head jigs.....

Featured Replies

  • Super User

I have become a big fan of Tru-Tungsten products this year, until today.  I had just tied an Ikey head jig on and on my first cast I nailed a nice 5lb largemouth but when I went to remove the hook it broke in my hands, gave me a nice cut for my efforts and I also noticed the paint was coming off and fading.

Has this happened to anybody?  These things are pricey and I expect them to last a little longer than one cast.

Just a side note, I have used alot of their worm weights and have never had a problem.

I got some way back before they came out and had problems with straightening the hooks out from hooksets.

I haven't used them since.

Besides, I break off too many times with a shakey head to throw that kind of money at it.
