Straight worm hook for ned rigs?

Featured Replies

Has anyone used a straight shank hook for ned rigs (specifically Ned craws)?

I've seen the Zman finesse bulletz and they look ok, but I'm specifically looking to T-rig the ned rig. Either trail it behind a mojo rig or run it with a 1/16 bullet weight up front.

I want this to come through the grass flats easy like my larger Trig set ups.

I'm thinking an Owner cover shot worm hook in #2 or #1. Or the VMC finesse neko hook may work.

So you want to do a tiny T-rig and not a Ned rig? As long as the hook fits the bait it should be fine. I use the Owner Cover Shot for T-rigging very thin plastics.

Essentially, yes.  Those ned craws are pretty small. I have #1/0 hooks and they're too big.

I like the look of those hooks. Might have to hunt me some down. Do the keepers stay in place well?

Those hooks will work!

a Vmc Neko Finesse hook. @T-Billy Tackle Warehouse sells them. I'm in Canada but have to order from there sometimes because I can't find some things up here.

Owner rigging hooks.

You're welcome ;)
