GREAT tips from pro Michael Neal about bank fishing with plastic worms.

 

 

I still bank fish frequently. And I’ve probably caught more bass with a Texas rigged Zoom Trick, 5” Senko or Mann’s Jelly Worm than with any other baits. Mostly weightless TR’s with the Tricks and Senkos (Senkos I’ll fish with spinning or casting rigs-Tricks on spinning rigs), and 3/16”-1/4” oz VMC tungsten bullet weights and Jelly Worms on a casting rig. But I have stopped using round offset worm hooks. My hook-up ratio with 3/0-4/0 Gamakutsu EWG’s is on par with round offsets, but EWG’s has dramatically reduced the number of guthooked bass for me.
