Hello all. I was wondering if you guys could provide some info on my "lucky lure". No matter where i seem to go, if the fish are biting or not i always seem to catch something with it. Its getting old and beat up and I've been trying to find a replacement or 2. thanks for your time - mike

 

It looks very similar to a Smithwick Lobo that was made in the 1970's and 80's. I don't remember Smithwick ever having a color like the one shown, but I could be wrong.

 

The Lobo has been out of production for years

Doesn’t have the classic Smithwick eyes. Looks a lot like the Lobo square bill, not a Smithwick color and agree it’s probably a 80’s vintage lure.

Looks like a Cotton Cordell Big O.  These are still made but not in that color.  You could get one of them or a suitable modern "square bill" crankbait.  

Ironically I found this lure a few months ago. I never found out what brand/model.

I might throw some new hooks on it and try it out now. I thought it was just some old junker off brand.
