  1. I’ve been on a dry spell but I found this last week. Any ideas on the maker? Looks familiar but I can’t place it.
  2. Those look really nice. How do they run?
  3. Can anyone find the Prizm shallow water lenses for Frogskins? I don't really love the normal prizm lens for water activities.
  4. Looks like a chick magnet
  5. I might throw some new hooks on it and try it out now. I thought it was just some old junker off brand.
  6. Ironically I found this lure a few months ago. I never found out what brand/model.
  7. I would try to get a Dobyns Fury 795SB. You can normally find Dobyns at 20-30% off.
  8. It also helps to throw the balsa baits on the right gear. Really a medium light spinning set up unless you have a BFS type casting reel.
  9. Dont pay full price for a Dobyns rod unless you just have money burning a hole in your pocket. They are on sale regularly for 20-30% off. Just be patient and ready to purchase when you see the sales. I can't mention the site, but a certain 3 letter acronym will give you a discount if you e-mail them and ask nicely. I just got 24% off a champion xp.
  10. I have a Dobyns Champion Extreme HP 702C and use it for ned's and tubes mainly. Some light shakey heads. The sweet spot is around 1/16-1/4 oz weight. It is an awesome rod. Very sensitive with a good tip for casting accuracy. I have also expanded to using light crankbaits (shad rap 5-7, og tiny 4, small balsa) and 110 jr jerkbaits. It seems to work well with the lighter hard baits. The tip is fast but the medium/light helps a lot with trebles. I use a Daiwa SV light LTD on the rod.
  11. I throw a lot of custom balsa baits. But for off the shelf, you can't beat the frittsides. I have about every color they make!
  12. I use a Dobyns Champion Extreme 702c for small balsa crankbaits sometimes. They are hard to throw but this rod with a Daiwa SV light LTD throws them pretty easily and I haven’t had any issues with keeping decent fish pinned. I think any of the Dobyns 702/703’s will do the job. And more.
  13. I can’t see who the seller is. But be careful buying seaguar on Amazon. I have read about some being counterfeit or relabeled mono.
  14. I have one or two outings using some 8LB basix and I like it so far. Feels like higher end stuff. We will see how long it lasts and if there are any knot issues. I use palomar knots to bait/hooks. I also have some 15lb on my pitching set up. Haven't used it yet, other than a few practice casts from my dock. But again, it feels nice.
  15. I didn't ready every reply, but you need to wire your boat properly. Every accessory should be to a breaker or at least a battery on/off switch. Your battery draining is one issue. But another issue is you are essentially charging you power pole when you are charging you battery. This isn't good at all. The circuit boards do not like this. Ask me how I know LOL.
