Lew’s Mark Rose Ledge rods anyone?

Featured Replies

I’m still in the market for a flipping/jig rod. Not a ton of reviews on these rods but all good. I love the handle and reel seat. Anyone have any experience?  Thank you in advance.

The negative for me is EVA Grips, I know cork is where it needs to be but for me EVA is just cheap.

I agree EVA seems "cheap".  I'm very weird when it comes to my rod handles.  I very much prefer cork on my spinning rods (full if possible).  However most of my casting rods have EVA.  If the rod manufacturers gave us a choice then I would pick cork for every rod but they don't so if I love a certain rod sometimes I have to settle for cork or Winn.

@BigAngus752 In the cast of these rods I don't understand why Lew's even added the EVA. They could have just made it a split grip & stopped right there. To me all they did was add unnecessary weight.

As for the rod themselves I've only thrown the 7' 3.5" for 2-3 hours. It handled 1/2-3/4 oz jigs quite well. The reel seat is strong, a big plus for me. It balanced well with a Lew's BB1.
