Does anyone have any luck fishing for largemouth bass with finesse tubes (gitzit)?

I use the original Gitzit tubes, not finesse tubes, and catch plenty of bass in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  I do best with internal jigs with the hook exposed and T-rigged with a small, pegged weight skipping docks.  

I would imagine a finesse size tube would work just as well, maybe better under tough conditions.

There isn’t a lure made that is designed to be regional.

Bass are bass but...we have several species that live in a wide variety of ecosystems. 

In-Fisherman when started by the Linder brothers focused on  this topic. Linder recognized that lake classification was very important regardless where it was located, but also recognized the terrain where the lake was located categorized the lake, river or pond. The In-Fisherman categories for man made impounds were named for the terrain; High Land, Hill Land, Flat Land, Canyon and Low Land.

If the lake category has a primary prey source that is replicated by a Gitzit (tube bait) the bass will eat it.

i’ve been almost exclusively using the bass pro shop teaser tubes (2.75”) lately with great success catching largemouth and smallmouth. green pumpkin purple flake roadkill has been my color of choice. absolute dynamite on a 1/8 or 3/16oz. tube jig head fishing bedding fish, grass, rock piles and walls, docks, etc.

Yes.  Most of the time it's a "bou-tube", a hybrid tube/marabou combination.  I've been successfully  catching many of the fish species (including largemouth bass) in the Okoboji chain of lakes with this bait for many years.
