I picked up a Bass Raider this past winter, retired 65 yo. I manage to get it in the bed of my F150, but getting the leading edge in isn't easy, especially on an angled boat ramp. If they'd put a couple more handles on the thing it'd be a lot easier, there is nothing to hold onto. They do work well though.

What I did was purchase two 2x6's (8-10') boards and installed aluminum mounts to lie flat on the tailgate.  Lift the boat onto the ramps and slide it up.  Pull in the ramps and drive away.  Reverse process to launch.

Thanks, it's worth a try.

126 pages on this topic should provide anyone with enough information on plastic boats.

Maybe you could screw a few kayak handles into it (properly).

I wish, the plastic material is quite thin on a Bass Raider, without backing of some sort I wouldn't trust screws to hold, and I'm not taking the boat apart.
