BOAT TRAILER WINCH

Featured Replies

Hello,

Time to replace my trailer winch.  I have a 17" alum bass boat with a 50 HP motor.  I am guessing a 1500 lb to 1800lb winch will suffice.  I read some negative reviews on Bass Pro's web site on their winches.  Is there a difference in quality in one brand and another?  Any info on Fulton winches?

thanks very much

I can not comment on BPS's wenches but the Fulton Manual 1800 (Model # 450320) with Strap is all I use because it has a longer handle and two speeds: fast, for quick retrieval, and slow, for heavier loads.

Thanks for your reply.  When I look at the Fulton 450320, which I think is West marine's item number, it shows it as a single speed.

Maybe they changed the model recently?

thanks again

Huh, apparently that model (either a west marine or academy #) has been discontinued because Fulton's web site now only shows an 1100 lb model.
