I need help with reel information and parts

Featured Replies

I recently found a few older rods I have laying around and bought the new version of the Black Max (Max X) to outfit each of them with. My son was going through the old house and found a Black Max 3 (LH). I looked at it and it was mostly clean and looked barely used. What I thought was a little dirt and grime on the line guide shaft will not come off. It appears to be some rust. I'm trying to find out the exact model number of the Black Max 3 (LH) and the exact part number of the line guide shaft so I can replace it, but I'm not getting definitive information in my Google searches. Anyone know?

I would probably try fine grade steel wool on it before replacing. But as far as replacement, I would assume that part is universal through generations of the reel. Best bet might be to measure and reach out to someone to see if they have a replacement.
