Fishing Electronics

Featured Replies

I've always been one for just fishing straight with a rod and using good ol' blind luck and never really considered electronics much, but I'm opening up more to the gadgets. What fishing electronics do you find invaluable?

Thanks, Justin

If you are walking the bank and bass fishing, then a cell phone maybe the only electronics needed.

Fishing from a boat opens up the entire water column to view; what is under the water that you can't see with your eyes (sonar), where you are (GPS) and what the surface water temperature is. If none of those factors are of any interest, then you don't need any electronics to fish.

However if you want to locate bass away from the bank or return to locations where you caught bass, then both sonar and GPS are extremely important.
