Anyone own the new models and can explain how they compare?

 

Im looking for a verstaile spinning rod, I have mostly casting rods, lookng for a versatile spinning rod for a variety of uses but especially drop shot.  I was leaning towards the 872 until I saw there was a specific drop shot rod, the 822. 

 

Anyone have any info on how they compare?  

 

Which would be better for what?
