Old Daiwa Heartland rod

Featured Replies

Hey All,

Got this rod in a club auction years ago. It’s got to be close, if not over 20 yrs old. I Googled the model number but came up empty for this exact model. I’ve used it as a spinnerbait rod on a recommendation from another club member and it has worked well. I’m not so great at determining action and power, but with the tip on the rug test it appears to be heavier than a medium power with a moderate fast tip. I was looking to use it with buzzbaits and deeper cranks as well. I am hoping someone out there is familiar with this rod and can let me know if I’m accurate and if it would work with the applications listed.

Thanks….Joe
