Dynamic Dolly??

i was watching a Blanchard Video, and they had this tiny dolly on the tube.

if i had to pick one thing i hate about kayak fishing it would be getting off the water.  getting on the water is easy.  i load my kayak at my truck, roll it to the water's edge, pickup the rear of my kayak and let the scupper cart drop off, attach cart to kayak, jump in and go harass the bass.

off the water, i almost get boat ramp anxiety - i hate tying up a ramp when the bass boats are lined up behind me..  i beach it at the ramp and then i need to unload everything, and tip the kayak on the side to get the cart in.  i am NOT interested in some of those bungee methods.  i am trying to stay as dry as i can for the drive home.  (maybe i should try it - thinking about it now).  this cart makes it look easy!  just dock my kayak run to the truck and grab dolly, put kayak on  it and drag the entire rig to the truck to unload.   thoughts?  expensive really.

If it works for you, then go for it!

I tend to stick to neglected boat ramps and banks where I can easily back my truck up to the water's edge and load or unload at my leisure.  That way I can take my time and not have to worry about the big bass, ski, and pontoon boats.  I will also try to launch and load up during off peak traffic times, if I'm forced to use the main ramps.  I try to hurry, but not rush myself.  Sure it might take me longer than your average bass boat to load and unload.  But it's not a race.  And there's always someone that takes a lot longer than me.

On occasion, I'll share a ramp with another boat or kayak (asking permission with the other person launching or landing first).  If they can spare 3 feet on the side of the ramp, that's all I need.

I like it, I think.  First thought is does it fold up somewhat compact?  Not sure how to fit that in the SUV.

your first statement is on target.  "i like it, i think"  haha.  i was hoping someone on this forum had one and was an expert.  :)

it comes apart into three pieces IIRC.

I'd buy or make a cart that fits in the boat's storage. If I had to run back up to the truck I'd just get a trailer and back down the ramp and make it real simple. Like any other boat.

I never use my cart because I just back down to the ramp, put it on the roof of the van, half-way tie it down and go. Kayak rigged would be too heavy for me to cart up most ramps....bad back or tendinitis, take your pic. Not hauling that thing up a ramp, I use my van.

I kinda get anxious at the ramp too sometimes, but I'm never ever the slowest one. And I don't get wet at all.

I've never actually used this cart at the water, just at home getting it out of storage. I just drive down to the water. I don't setup the yak on the ramp, I do it either to the side in the dirt or on the dock out of the way.
