Daiwa Kage discontinued or?

Featured Replies

Was at my local tackle shop and scored a 73MHFB Kage for $99. Went to look it up on TW before I bought it to see the components compared to some of the other rods they had sales on and noticed its not even listed anymore. Looked further and just about everywhere is out of stock. No mention on Diawa's site but makes me wonder if they dropped the Kage line? Everything I've seen on the Kage line has been very positive but might not be justified over the cork Tatula...possible poor sales?

Kage isn't dropped - just a very shallow market....most places carry the Tatula Elite and don't want to keep in stock a second line at almost the same price-point.

Kage is for pro-shops only.  No tw, no bps etc.

Interesting. Makes a lot of sense now. Appreciate the info! Looking forward to giving her a spin this weekend.

They are also out of stock from a lot of dealers. Daiwa has been slow to restock due to the times.
