Dual Pro Chargers and wholesalemarine.com

After 16 years, my on board charger finally quit. I am thinking that I'll buy another Dual Pro (it's the correct size and shape for replacing the old one) but want to see if there are others that might be a better unit. Is there another unit that is substantially better? Enough so to justify rearranging my mounting of batteries and fuel tank/etc.

Also, anyone familiar with wholesalemarine.com? Prices are almost to good.

Thanks

Blain, I'm not sure you are aware of this.  You can buy a re-built unit from Dual Pro for about half the price of a new one.  It has a full one-year warranty.

Yes, in fact the one I am replacing is a recon unit.   :o

I really wanted to see if there were better chargers out there these days...  I remember a thread from about 2 years ago where decalsification (sp?) was discussed extensively and if I remember correctly, another brand was thought to be a better charger for longevity of batteries.

Just doing my homework before shelling out the cash.

Thanks,

keith

with 16 years under your belt, I would not look anywhere else.....just saying.

Very true, the unit lasted great, no complaint there...  but like in anything else- 16 years later there is usually options with different/better features.  My old Abu reels were fine but the CH50MG's and Curado's were a nice change.

While Dual Pro chargers are indeed good, you might want to check out ProMariner battery chargers.  Arguably the best in the market.
